Just remembering...

I was looking at Bailey this morning and was having flashbacks of the last 2 times we had babies turn one week old.
Parker and Kasidee's one week birthday was so huge, they weren't expected to live that long. We had a big birthday party with the nurses and doctors. I brought pink and blue rice krispy treats and made birthday cards that we stuck on their incubators.
When Addison was a week old we had just decided to move to Texas. Mark was trying to tie up things at work with his brother and packing up to move the next week.
Now we have Bailey. Mark has been able to stay home for a week, my mom and brother came and helped for a couple of days and are coming back in a week to help again, and we have had meals brought in almost every day. This has been the best one week birthday celebration yet!!!

Happy #31 Mark!!!

Poor Mark. He has had a pretty lousy birthday, and he has been a really good sport about it. Having a baby 5 days before his birthday put a little damper on the festivities. We will have to have a SLAMMIN' #32!(:
I know Mark hates these "lists" because they are cheesy, but I had to.
Some of the things I love about Mark:
*when I drop something in the other room, he always makes sure that I didn't get hurt
*his jokes that aren't that funny (sorry Mark)
*how he crunches numbers in his head that would take me a while to figure out with a calculator
*instead of bringing home flowers if I've had a bad day, he brings home treats
*he gets very close to fainting at the sight of ANYTHING medical
*he will watch any chick flick with me just because it makes me happy
*he is the world's best dad
*he is the king of caulk
*family is always first
*his very sad Aussy accent
*he still memorizes scriptures just because
*he does budget spreadsheets for fun
*even though he is a genious, he isn't a nerd (:
*HE IS THE BEST HUSBAND EVER!!!!

Mommy wow...

...I'm a big kid now. (You know you finished it in your head.) Mark and I went out and purchased our first "big kid" furniture today. We looked at our new living room, that no longer had hand-me-down furniture in it, and said "wow, we are grown up now." Don't worry, we moved the hand-me-down furniture to the next room over. I love our new couch, loveseat, and chair! I love how it surprises me ever time I walk downstairs.

Bailey

We went into the hospital at 3am on Friday, we finally met Bailey at 11:30 that afternoon. She weighed 8lbs.4oz. and was 19 1/2 in. long. She has reddish brown hair and she is the cutest thing ever! She is still a little confused at when her days and nights are, but we couldn't be happier. Parker, Kasidee, and Addison are adjusting well. Parker and Kasidee are great little helpers and Addison is a little mini mom. I think she is going to drive me crazy, but how can you complain when she loves her little sister so much.

Bailey Alice Ward is finally here...

The Great Rescue

Today we went to McDonald's to let the kids get out some pent up energy and have lunch. The last time we went to this particular McDonald's, Addison did great on the playground...this time we weren't so lucky. So here I am 2 days from having a baby, shimmying up to the very top of the playset to rescue my petrified daughter. I'm sure I was a sight to behold! How humiliating is that!

Gifts wrapped in towels...

I am so thankful for gifts wrapped in towels! Addison gave me new guitar strings, Kasidee gave me an hour massage, and Parker had P.S. I Love You wrapped in his. What a great day! I got to be lazy all day and enjoy Mark taking over. We had yummy Chinese food and cheesecake, two of my favorite things. I hope everyone enjoyed their day as much as I did.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE!!!

Mark says I have a problem, and maybe I should be seeking professional help. But I can't help it, I am addicted!!!! I can't wait for So You Think You Can Dance to start. I like to look up old contestants on youtube and watch their dances. I may have a little bit of an addiction. Here are a couple of my favorites.

Soccer Time

We have been enjoying soccer with Parker and Kasidee. I love how the YMCA runs there little kid program. It is only on Saturdays and they practice for the first 30 minutes and then play a game for the last 30 minutes. It is perfect for right now! Parker loves every minute of the drills and the games, Kasidee on the other hand is not so sure. Mark has to hold her hand through all the drills and she has yet to play in one of the games. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

Addison is very excited to sit in her own mini chair that is just like mom's. It makes me laugh that they all still talk about the week that we brought treats for the team. Kasidee picked out grape gatorade and Parker picked out fruit punch gatorade. I don't think they are related to me, food is always the highlight for them...oh wait.
