Reilynn Jaye

She is finally here. 8 lbs. 2 oz. at 11:21am on December 11. We can't decide who she looks like yet. She has been great so far! Our biggest problems have been trying to keep Bailey and Addison from fighting over who gets to hold her next. Can you see how many hands are in the bottom left picture?!?!?

Who would have thought?!?

Snow in TEXAS!!!!
We got snow. I went and pulled Parker and Kasidee out of school so they could enjoy it. We knew it wouldn't last long. They had a lot of fun playing in the slush. They had to come in and change 3 or 4 times because the snow was so wet...but no one complained, we had SNOW!
They came in with rosy cheeks, pink noses, and begging for hot chocolate...it doesn't get much better than that!

Bailey, who has never really even been cold before, walked right out into the snow with bare feet. She started screaming and I had to run out and pick her up. She wanted lots of kisses on her feet because they were hurting so bad. (:

A crazy weekend...

What were we thinking...well, actually there was a method in our madness! We tore out all the tile in our entry-way, half-bath, kitchen, laundry room, and fireplace. My brothers and dad are coming and we are going to put them to work. (:
Boys and their toys...
Even Addison and Bailey wanted to help. Who can resist a little demo?!?!

Mark slaved away ALL day Saturday to make it livable before the baby comes. He even has a bum shoulder, but thanks to lots of ibuprofen, he was able to finish. Dust was everywhere!!! I have cleaned the house from top to bottom and I am still finding it.

Thanksgiving

We had so much good food for Thanksgiving. Lucky for you, I forgot my camera, so you get this google image. We all ate at Greg and Angie's house. They hosted a very nice dinner, with lots of yummy food, and good company. Thanks, we had a great time.

screaming teens...

Girls' nights are the best. Especially when a little New Moon is involved.
We braved the crowds again and went on opening night with all of the screaming teens. This pic was at dinner right before. It was a fun night!
And I would have to add, that I liked New Moon better than Twilight. I can't wait for Eclipse in June!

every hour...

This is how I feel today. Have you ever woke up every hour on the hour...for example, last night I woke up at 12:30, 1:35, 2:30, 3:24, and then 4:40 I was up for good. Why is that? It is so annoying!

9 years and counting...

I went through our digital pictures on our computer, and realized I don't have hardly any pictures of Mark and I together. It is funny how kids take a priority when they come.
But I decided that a big part of why I love Mark is the great dad he is. So I thought this anniversary I would put pics of Mark and our kids.
Thank you for putting up with a grumpy pregnant wife lately, and for making me feel beautiful even though I know that I have seen better days. I love you more every day!

Thanks Aunt Angie!

Addison took ballet/creative dance lessons from her Aunt Angie. The girls were so cute. Addison was a little stubborn and shy, but she had a good time. The flash went off and I was standing in front of a glass window, but I still thought this picture was cute.
This is all the girls at the recital in their hip-hop gear. It doesn't get much cuter than this!

This is Addison's younger group. Addison is in the black hat and her little cousin is on her right.

This was all the girls in their ballet clothes being introduced. That is Bailey's hair at the bottom of the picture. Mark was out of town, so I was trying to fight kids and video and take pictures at the same time. GOOD TIMES!!!
This is our cute girl. She loved that black hip-hop hat. So much fun!

This is how much she would do in practice....

This is all she would do at the recital...

It is a good thing she is so cute! I think she gets her stubbornness from Mark, and her shyness from me. (:

I've been playing...

I was wanting some cute new things for this new baby girl. I looked on etsy and found the cutest stuff, but I wasn't willing to pay for it. So I looked up some free patterns on line...I thought they turned out pretty cute.

The Luckiest!!!

I have the best husband ever! I asked him to help me shampoo our carpets last Saturday. And not only did he do a much better job than I ever would have taken the time to do, (and let's face it, we all know I am a little OCD) but he tackled the stairs w/o me even asking. I love this man! He definitely knows the way to my heart!!!

perfect night

This year was a lot of fun! All the kids were really excited about dressing up, and getting LOTS of candy. We went to the ward trunk-or-treat (which was awesome this year, they even had a little mini carnival set up too), and then we went out trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and with cousins in their neighborhood. I think their buckets weighed more than they did by the time we were done.
The weather was perfect too. It makes such a huge difference when you aren't sweating as you are walking from door to door. It was a fun couple of nights!

Little Feet Halloween

Addison's cute preschool (Little Feet Preschool), had a Halloween party. We had princesses, a witch, spider man, Sonic, and Indiana Jones come. They had such a fun time decorating cookies, doing a cake walk, and lots of other games and activities. (Thanks Brooke for such a great time!)
Minnie Mouse had to come and play too!

Fan vs. Groupie?!?

I got the chance to go to the SYTYCD live tour again this year. I really liked this past season's group of dancers, so I was super excited to go! Angie scored us some great seats, and then we were able to move even closer during the second half of the show. Life doesn't get much better than this!
This was how good our seats were. (Thanks Angie for the pic, your camera was much better than mine.) They danced most of my favorite dances, including the Addiction dance. It was awesome.
Randi...
Meeting everyone after was so much fun (thanks Janice). I felt really old and very large (all those tiny little dancers...even the guys!)
Jason...

Evan... Kayla...
What an awesome night! Although, I was feeling my age, getting home at 1am and then getting up the next morning with the kids for school. I AM OLD!!! By the way, I think I fell into the groupie category carrying around my poster having all the dancers sign it.

Preschool Fieldtrip

The kids learned all about safety, policemen, and firemen @ preschool this week. So what better way to end the course than by a little trip to the Firehouse Museum. They got to dress up, slide down poles, play on trucks, and play with water hoses. The kids had a blast!!! Then we ended the day at a park with a picnic lunch. The weather was great, it was a great day!

Family Togetherness...

We have been spending a lot of time together lately, due to colds and lack of children in our neighborhood to play with. So here are some of the things that we have been doing...
-shirtless (kids only) spaghetti night
-Chucky Cheese
-playing in the backyard
-watching tv on mom and dad's bed (Bailey found the perfect spot on Parker)

We are enjoying the "cooler" weather we have been having!

Little Football Star

It took Parker a little while to warm up, but once he did, he had a blast!
The high school here had a "meet the football team" day. Mark took Parker and he kicked, tackled, spiraled, and ran touch downs. What more could a 6 year old boy ask for?!?!

9-1-1

Our day started at 2:30am, with Addison coughing and coughing and coughing. She was having a hard time breathing too. I took her into the ER and she has croup. This is our first experience with it. It is definitely a little scary.
We got home at about 5:30am and she started coughing all over again once we got home. I dragged a rocking chair in the bathroom and turned on the hot shower and we roasted in the hot steam for about an hour, which seemed to help.
Then at 6:30am everyone else woke up for the day. Parker, Kasidee, and Bailey have been coughing a little bit, so P and K stayed home from school today.
I have been washing EVERYTHING and lysoling EVERYTHING else to try to keep this croup from spreading to everyone in the family.
Kasidee had an accident, and I just got off the phone with a 911 operator who just received 2 calls from this number. (Parker just learned about 911-awesome), and it isn't even noon yet. This day is shaping up to be one to remember!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Mark gave me Jason Mraz tickets for my birthday in July, and the concert finally arrived!!! It was amazing, I had so much fun!!! It is not very often that an artist is better live than they are on the radio. Jason didn't disappoint...it was awesome! Thanks Mark, that was the best birthday present ever. (We went with Lelani, Mark's boss Jen, Greg and Angie, Dave and Jana, and Jared and his brother.)

These are the moments...

I love when they actually like each other every once and a while. Here they are all ready for the Primary program that we had last week. P and K sang in a small group with 3 other kids. They did such a good job! Addison didn't understand why she couldn't sing with them...she had practiced just as much as they had!

Two Peas in a Pod

This is Bailey and Addison waving goodbye to Mark as he drove off to work. They actually play pretty good together. Addison wishes Bailey was just a little older. (:
Although, Bailey already thinks she is as old as Addison...

A little nookie?

We had FHE yesterday, and we were talking about prayer...which got us talking about all the things we are thankful for. It was Addison's turn to share what she was thankful for..."I'm thankful that mom could get nookie." Mark and I looked at each other and started busting up laughing. It took us a minute to figure out that she was saying, "mom could get Nikki (a girl who has babysat for us a couple times.)

Seriously, Seriously!?!?!?

I know everything is BIGGER in Texas, but are you kidding me?!?!? Addison has been stung by a bee twice now, and the bees are huge red scary looking things. This is her bee sting on her foot. The black and blue is not a bruise, it is just a shadow...

Poor Bailey is a little allergic to the mosquitoes here, she swells up and gets huge goose-eggs. Here she has two big lumps on her head, and below is the bite on her shoulder. So sad!!! The pictures definitely did not do them justice!

The weather is finally cooling off a little and we are still staying inside to hide from the bees, mosquitoes, and fire-ants. Good times.
