Thank goodness for webcams...

Last year we got my parents a webcam for Christmas and it has been the best present ever! This morning, the kids all settled down for Grandma to read them a story. I love you mom and dad! Thanks for loving my kids and being the best grandparents ever! This was Parker's reaction to grandpa playing with the computer and making the image all distorted. Grandpa's face looked like he was infront of one of those funny mirrors.

Just for fun...

We can't seem to get rid of the binkie!!! I keep telling myself, "tomorrow," and then we have a long day so I tell myself, "tomorrow."
Cute girl! Kasidee is the most loving girl I know! She is the first one to give ANYONE a hug and a kiss.
Parker was pretty proud to wear a sport jacket like his dad's! How cute is that?!?!?

This little girl is growing up faster than I thought was possible! I blink and she is bigger and doing something new.She is so happy!

Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve was a day of cooking...starting with sugar cookies for Santa...

Our Christmas Eve tradition is to have a candle-light dinner, have family home evening, and then open new pj's and a game that we play together as a family. This year it was twister...good times. (yes, Addison is tackling Bailey)

Mark's family barricaded the kids in so that they couldn't sneak a peak too early. We have continued on the imprisonment with our kids. Here they are on Christmas morning wanting to escape...

We sadly didn't get good pictures of Christmas morning. We were enjoying ourselves too much to remember to bring out the camera. Next year...

Holiday happenings...

We are spending this Christmas at our house. This is the first year that we aren't traveling to family, or family isn't traveling to us. We are sad, but excited to start our own traditions this year. Here are some of the things that have been filling our time...
We went on a hayride with family and friends. We found a neighborhood that had Santa's North Pole, cute.

I love you Mark!

Parker and Kasidee had their "winter" party at school. This is their teacher.

Kasidee decorated her gingerbread cookie with everything available. Yes, they were given cheese, raisins, pretzels, grapes, red-hots, and twizlers to put on their cookies. Can you make a COOKIE healthy?!!

Santa came to the ward party. Parker got right down to business and told him his whole list...

Kasidee couldn't wait to just give Santa hugs and kisses. Sweet girl!

Addison wasn't so sure she liked Santa at all.

Mark finally has a Madden playmate.

"Christ"mas

Kasidee helped me remember the other day, what Christmas is really about. I came over to the coffee-table and found this...
I asked her what she was doing, and she said,"they all wanted to see baby Jesus."
I'm so thankful for cute kids that teach me more than they will ever know.

Christmas Threw-up On Me!

I went to a UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER party last night. What a fun idea! Everyone looked great! I went to my neighbor for help with my get-up. She came over with the 5 broaches, Santa watch, Santa bell necklace, bell earrings, and sweater I am wearing. Thanks Sharon!
I think Rebecca's sweater is the winner, those ribbons were atrocious (although, Melanie comes in a close second with those pants that completed her outfit)!!!
Everyone brought either a dessert or an appetizer, wow, the food was YUMMY!
I had a great time! I am so lucky to have such fun women as friends! I haven't laughed that hard in a while.

Snow in Texas!!!

The kids came home from school today and were SO EXCITED to find that it was SNOWING. We pulled out our winter hats and gloves, which was just as exciting and went out to play.
Addison wanted to wear her flip-flops outside, it took some convincing to get her to wear a jacket too. She is CRAZY!
Here is Parker's snowball. (:

Catching snowflakes on their tongues.
Hot chocolate after to warm everyone up. Look at those hot chocolate mustaches. It finally feels like Christmas. I love it!

Baby Jesus is in Time Out...

You thought Jesus was perfect, but you were wrong. Baby Jesus was put in time-out for hitting his mom today. (:

Finally decorating the tree

I'll be honest, I had a hard time this year finding the Christmas spirit this year, I was kind of a ba-hum-bug! But decorating the tree, while burning the yummy pine tree candle, and listening to Christmas music did it for me. I am excited for this year, our kids are really fun ages. I think I say that every year, and it just keeps getting more fun.

Alison, the girl who helped us when Parker and Kasidee came out of the hospital when they were babies, made these ornaments for them when they were babies. They are still the favorites every year. Thanks Alison!

We have the prettiest star on our tree!

Sitting already

Bailey skipped rolling over and decided that sitting would be more fun. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is such a momma's girl. It kills Mark that she doesn't want him to hold her if I am in the room, or within hearing range.

Catching Up...

Twilight was SO FUN!!! I went with a group of friends and about a thousand screaming 10 year olds to the opening night. As soon as the line started moving they all started screaming, as soon as the lights went out in the theater they all started screaming, as soon as Edward came on screen for the first time they all started screaming...you get the picture. It was fun.
Marshall, Lynndsey, and their cute kids came for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun having them!
Mark's parents, Grant and Judy, also came. Our kids can't get enough of Grandma and Grandad!
Grandma and Bailey.
Grandad and Natalie (Marshall and Lynndsey's cute girl.)

Cousins, so much fun.

Marshall and little Preston.

We even got to see my brother and his wife. It is so nice that she is from here. Parker is showing Uncle Cory and Aunt Lori how he can read.
Things I am thankful for:
*a fun ward that had a fun turkey bowl, Mark was sore for days (:
*sister-in-laws that are more like sisters
*my father-in-law's amazing good health
*sweet kids who are trying to do the right thing, even though it is hard sometimes ("Parker stop hitting!!" "It was an accident mom.")
*a loving husband who lets me sleep in when I don't feel good
*yummy Thanksgiving food
*my mom who taught me how to cook
I could go on and on, but those are just a few.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!
