sugar and spice...

Pink, pink and more pink. We just can't seem to have much blue in our house lately.
We just found out that we are having another girl. Poor Parker is going to REALLY be out numbered. She is totally bent in half in the first picture, I thought it was funny.)
We are excited!

Summer Time

We have discovered video and computer games this summer. Even Bailey likes to pretend that she is playing. It is hard to keep kids busy when it is so stinkin' hot outside! At least they are playing educational games...that is how I justify it.
Parker was trying to escape the picture. Nice try bud.

"watch" out...

My cute friend makes these cute watches. She was so nice and gave me one for my birthday. It was so sweet of her, I wanted everyone to see.
By the way, she sells them here, go check them out! Thanks Jana, you are the best!

(I know...my pictures are blurry and I missed my calling as a watch model.)

red wasps

I think we have a red wasp hive in our attic, because every once in a while we get them coming through the vents upstairs. I didn't see this one come in, and Addison got stung. As she is screaming I procede to beat the thing to death with a nintendo paddle. I run downstairs to get Benadryl and an ice pack, when I get back the bee is gone. My first thought was I didn't kill it all the way. No, I was wrong. Kasidee, being the helpful girl she is, picked it up with her bare fingers and threw it in the garbage. You would think your sister screaming in pain would be enough to scare you away from the nasty thing...no not for Kas.

cowboy up

We went out to dinner at a Texas BBQ place last night. I took Kas, Addison, and Parker to the bathroom. I can't seem to let Parker grow up, and I told him to just come in with us to the girls' bathroom. He looked at the signs on the doors, "Ladies" and "Cowboys" and said, "No way mom, there are cowboys in here!" He was sadly mistaken, when he walked in to find a regular old bathroom behind the door.

A surprising good day...

I turned 28 yesturday. Birthdays as you get older just aren't that big of a deal. I still had to wake up and do dishes, clean up the house, and throw in a load of laundry. I wasn't expecting to have such a wonderful day.
I started out by getting a babysitter and getting my nails filled (thanks Christian). My neighbor brought over yummy brownies and a beautiful serving bowl (I am always borrowing hers), Mark came home early and brought my favorite P.F. Chang's chocolate cake with him (good job homie), he took the kids to the store and they all picked out very thoughtful gifts for me (Parker wanted to get me flowers, Kas got me an oil smelling thing, and Addison got me a basket to put my makeup in.), my sister-in-law was very thoughtful and gave me a cute skirt, and my good friend gave me a stationary set. Then Mark took us all out to dinner so I didn't have to cook. I also got several fun phone calls wishing me happy birthday. Thank you everyone for making it such a great day! 28 turned out to be a great birthday!

Hide and Go Seek

These are my mom's dirty clothes cupboards. They made perfect hide and go seek spots. Kind of smelly if you ask me.

Well that concludes our fun trip to WA. I don't think we could of had a better time. The weather was beautiful, we got to see so much family, and the kids had fun 24/7! Thank you mom and dad for making the visit so special and for creating so many fun memories that our kids will always remember. Thanks Cory and Lori for making the effort to come while we were there. Thanks Dustin for being the best brother and uncle in the world. And thanks Aunt Karen for driving 12 hours to come, we loved seeing you and your kids! Grandma Taylor, you are a trooper for braving the trip, we love you! Brian, you were very missed!

Flying High

Grandpa got out the kites on a windy day. Parker had lots of fun until the string got caught on one of the shingles on the roof, then he gave up and went and found the snap peas again. Mark ended up climbing on the roof to unhook the string. We needed a little bit more open space.

4th of July

Some of these picture turned out fuzzy. But luckily the pictures that Mark took of himself were crystal clear! (:

Horse Rides

Are you surprised that we were able to drag our kids onto the plane? Horseback riding was a highlight for Kasidee, and I somehow managed not to gete a picture of her. ): The other two pictures are of Dustin taking down Mark. Mark says that he was in total control, um sure honey! (:

Misc. Fun

Bailey, Parker, and especially Addison, couldn't get enough of the sweet snap peas out of my dad's garden. YUMMY!

Famliy Pictures

My mom wanted to get a family picture while everyone was home. We are only missing Brian, who is on his mission. It was really hot, but the professional pictures turned out good, especially for organizing little kids who hadn't had any naps.

Callahan's slide...

A farmer made this really nice 70 ft. long water slide back home. It went down into a pond and it was AWESOME!!! The first time I tried to help Parker go from the half-way point, and I ended up tumbling in right after him...I couldn't stop, it probably looked pretty funny. By the end, everyone was getting pretty brave and they were piling 3-4 high going down, and zipping down on a body board. The bigger boys made it a contest to see how far they could skid across the pond. I think Dustin was the winner, although Parker got pretty close on the body board.

Point Defience Zoo

We took a trip over to Seattle and visited the zoo. It was a nice day, and the kids had lots of fun seeing all of the animals. We had a good time.

Grandpa's Homeade Icecream

Grandpa spoiled the kids with homeade icecream several times. Bailey learned what the homeade icecream container looked like. She saw it coming, climbed up in her high chair, and tried to pull the tray on, all by herself. She was not going to miss out on some of Grandpa's "lick the bowl clean" GOOD icecream!!! Addison thought her icecream mustache was pretty funny! My personal favorite was dad's icecream with Grandma's fresh strawberries on top. It is making my mouth water just thinking about it....so good!

Cherry Pickin'

My uncle's have some cherry trees...they were so nice to share! The kids thought it was so much fun to pick the cherries. Bailey just wanted to eat everything in sight, and there was A LOT in sight! I thought for sure she would have a major tummy-ache, but she seemed fine.

But wait, there's more...

I know you are all probably tired of seeing WA pictures, but I HAVE TO blog the WHOLE trip.
Aunt Karen and her 5 cute kids and my mom's mom came for a week, and Mark finally got to come and join us. More zip-line, more 4-wheeler rides, lots of card games, and even more trips to the store to get Diet Coke!!! (: So much fun!
