Happy Halloween!

 Halloween was really fun this year!  The kids are at really fun ages!

 Everybody was really excited about their costumes...

 A Rock Star...

 A Cheerleader...

 A "Princess Witch"...

 A Farmer...and Piglet...

 Mark is always excited about the candy...

And Reilynn decided you are never too young to enjoy it either!  Hope everyone had as happy a Halloween as we did!

Traditions

 I love carving pumpkins!!!

 I love the smell...

 I love the pumpkin guts...

 I love roasting the seeds and munching on them for days...

 I love that the whole family has a good time.

Baby It's Cold Outside

We finally had a cold-front come through...it is no longer 90 and humid.  Now we have a high of 80, but it is cooling down to the 40's at night.   Yeah for fall...finally!

Look how cute!  My neighbor found a cute website with these pumpkins.  I decided to try and make some cute pumpkins instead of buying the real ones that just rot on my porch.

 Addison and Bailey thought it was really fun painting.

 Bailey was in charge of the stems.  She put on a ton of paint...but it ended up looking textured...(Note to self, let Bailey help next time.)

 I thought they turned out pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself.

Here is my front porch.  I have to brag for a second...I made all my fall decorations.  Go me!  Ok, I'm done now.

Fun Family Night

 We had a really fun family night last Monday.

 Both Mark and I thought we needed to focus on personal prayers, it is a crazy world, and they need every advantage they can get!

 It seems like when it is time for bed, I have met my limit, and we rush, rush, rush, to get into bed.

 So we thought prayer rocks would help the kids, and mom and dad, to remember personal prayers.

 The kids had a lot of fun personalizing their rocks, and I have noticed the rocks really helping this week! The kids are remembering to say their prayers.

 Reilynn really wanted to paint a rock, she didn't understand why she was being left out.  Life just isn't fair!

 Everybody looked so cute huddled together on one sheet, in their big aprons and shirts, that I had to capture the moment.

Not all family nights are quite so picture perfect...but we are trying, and when you have one success it feels amazing!

the BEST playdate EVER

Addison had a friend over yesterday (not this friend, but he is equally nice to have over), Bailey went over to a friends house, and Reilynn took a nap.  In those 2 hours this is what I accomplished:

*dishes

*mop kitchen floor, entryway, and bathrooms

*laundry

*wipe down all kitchen chairs

*vacuum downstairs

*shampoo carpets downstairs

*clean and condition leather on all couches

*dust upstairs and downstairs

*oil wood on furniture and piano

  *put dinner in the oven

It was AWESOME!!!

Hometown Pride

There is a burger joint named 5 guys.  They like to post where they get their potatoes, for their fresh fries.  My brother-in-law went in Mesa when they had especially good fries from ROYAL CITY!!!  It is not very often that you see "Royal City" written anywhere...It makes my heart happy!

 That is our family!

 The balloons were awesome, in theory, but of course my kids can't sit still with it, or not hit the person next to them with it, or hold it in front of their face.

 But they still turned out cute!

 They got these killer eyes from their dad! 

 I love how Kas is laughing at Parker.

They are completely out of control...but we love them anyway!  How could we not, they are so stinkin' cute!!!

Speaking of cuteness...

 My neighbor showed me a blog that made these easy balls...

 You can wrap them in anything you have around the house...and 5 glue sticks later...
