The tooth fairy is missing!

"Mom....MOM...wake up!"
"What's wrong buddy?"
"Has it ever happened to you, when you were a kid, that the tooth fairy didn't come?  My tooth is still under my pillow."
(CRAP!!!) "Yes, that happened to me when I was a kid.  The tooth fairy probably just had lots of teeth to pick up last night.  She will DEFINITELY make it to our house tomorrow night."
(Parents of the Year right here!)

"Mom, the holes in my legs hurt."

Bailey and Reilynn had to get shots yesterday.  So sad!  I know that it is suppose to be worse getting shots for your babies...but I think it is so much worse when they can say, "Don't let them hurt me mommy."  It about rips your heart out!

Why?

Why are they so eager to walk away and be independent?
They want to be big so bad!  They don't want to need anyone.
They want to climb higher and higher, further and further away.
Some are more cautious than others, scared to take the first step, but they still do.
Some climb as fast as they can, never looking back, all the way to the top.
But then they have a moment, when they look back, make sure you are there, ready to catch them.  Letting you know they still need you.  They still count on you, they still can't do it alone.

I HATE TEXAS!!!

Ok, so I just hate the Texas BUGS!!!!!
Poor Bailey was attacked by Texas size mosquitoes who leave Texas size welts...
She was crying this morning because they itched so bad.  Thank goodness for Benadryl anti-itch!

Silly Peanut Butter Kisses

This is the silly goof that I am stuck with all day! :)  She is so much fun!  We play tiger, puppy dog, read books, and laugh most of the day.
I hear, "Mom, I do it MYSELF!!!" all day long too.
I do get lots of kisses too, even if they are peanut butter kisses.
It's been fun getting to know Bailey a little bit more.  She has such a fun cute personality!

Just an Average Saturday

Our Saturday started out early with a few visitors...
We had Cowgirl Kas...
Who always wakes up with a smile, and can't wait to eat.
Darth Vader stopped in for some waffles...
And princess Addison, who would much rather have cold cereal than waffles.
Bailey didn't wake up early enough to dress up for breakfast.
Reilynn didn't dress up either, but can you believe she is eating cold cereal already?!?!?
After breakfast, everyone enjoys not rushing out the door for school.  They actually enjoy each other for a little while, while I get time to do some Saturday chores in peace.
More playing...
Still more playing...
Crash on the floor for a quick power nap...
More playing...
A little mischievousness...
And then everyone crashes...and I mean everyone!

Caged Animals

I met my sister-in-law for lunch, and Bailey and her little cousin Logan got to play.  They are only 1 month apart, exactly, and I hope they can be good friends!

If your daughter sat in pee at the library today...

Please don't read this post, because it was my daughter who peed on the chair.
We had waited too long, and then we were waiting for our turn in the restroom.  I shouldn't have let her sit at the kid's computers while we were waiting, but I did.

When the bathroom was available, I went to grab Bailey, and she had already had an accident.  Bummer!!!
Well, we ran into the bathroom to clean up, and I realized I didn't have any clean underwear or pants.  Double Bummer!!!
So we put on her wet underwear, no pants, and grabbed paper towels to clean up the mess by the computer.  To my utter shock and horror, there was a little girl sitting in my daughter's pee, with her mom standing right behind her.  What do I do?!?!?

So I took the cowardly lion approach and ran!!!  I grabbed the kids, (Bailey without and shoes, because I wasn't going to waste time looking for them), and got out of the library as fast as I could.
I know what some of you are thinking, why not fess up and clean up my daughters mess?  Well, I panicked ok!!!  I couldn't face that mom and tell her, "I'm sorry, but your daughter is now drenched in my daughter's pee."  I don't think that would have gone over very well!
My kids are all going to be very sad when we go to the library next time and there is a picture of us on the door, banning us forever!
I'm really sorry, if you happen to read this post, and you were the innocent little girl who sat in my daughter's pee!

Rub a Dub Dub

One baby out of the tub...
Reilynn is really starting to have quite the little personality!  She laughs and reaches for mom, dad, little brother, and little sisters.  I love that she is starting to love her siblings instead of fear them!
But can you blame her...I mean really?!?  They have tortured her, squeezed her, dragged her here and there, I don't know if she could have been more loved!

Man/Girl's Best Friend

Bailey has had a little bit of a struggle with everyone leaving her this fall.
Parker and Kasidee in 1st grade all day long (which is going so good by the way).
Her little buddy Addison has preschool from 9-2 every Tues and Thurs.  She keeps asking me where everyone is.  And she is trying to play with a baby sister who is not ready to play Row Row Your Boat or Ring Around the Rosies yet.
Thank goodness for little puppies who take the abuse with tails wagging and come back for more!

Thanks Homie!

I have a fenced in backyard again.  It is so great!  The dog can go out and play, I don't have to watch at all!  The kids can go out and play, I don't have to watch at all...oh wait. (:  I love it!!!  Thanks Mark!

Bon Appe'tit

This little girl doesn't think she is so little anymore.
She refuses to eat baby food now.  She wants real food.
She is now a meat and potatoes girl...yes that is potatoes all over her face.  Her dad is very proud!
It is a pain, now I have to cook soft foods every night!
You know that you all want mashed potatoes now!  Go ahead, order KFC tonight. Bon Appe'tit.
