Last year we got my parents a webcam for Christmas and it has been the best present ever! This morning, the kids all settled down for Grandma to read them a story. I love you mom and dad! Thanks for loving my kids and being the best grandparents ever! This was Parker's reaction to grandpa playing with the computer and making the image all distorted. Grandpa's face looked like he was infront of one of those funny mirrors.

Merry Christmas
Christmas Eve was a day of cooking...starting with sugar cookies for Santa...
Our Christmas Eve tradition is to have a candle-light dinner, have family home evening, and then open new pj's and a game that we play together as a family. This year it was twister...good times. (yes, Addison is tackling Bailey)
Mark's family barricaded the kids in so that they couldn't sneak a peak too early. We have continued on the imprisonment with our kids. Here they are on Christmas morning wanting to escape...
We sadly didn't get good pictures of Christmas morning. We were enjoying ourselves too much to remember to bring out the camera. Next year...

Holiday happenings...
We are spending this Christmas at our house. This is the first year that we aren't traveling to family, or family isn't traveling to us. We are sad, but excited to start our own traditions this year. Here are some of the things that have been filling our time...
We went on a hayride with family and friends. We found a neighborhood that had Santa's North Pole, cute.

Christmas Threw-up On Me!
I went to a UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER party last night. What a fun idea! Everyone looked great! I went to my neighbor for help with my get-up. She came over with the 5 broaches, Santa watch, Santa bell necklace, bell earrings, and sweater I am wearing. Thanks Sharon!

Baby Jesus is in Time Out...
Finally decorating the tree
I'll be honest, I had a hard time this year finding the Christmas spirit this year, I was kind of a ba-hum-bug! But decorating the tree, while burning the yummy pine tree candle, and listening to Christmas music did it for me. I am excited for this year, our kids are really fun ages. I think I say that every year, and it just keeps getting more fun.
Alison, the girl who helped us when Parker and Kasidee came out of the hospital when they were babies, made these ornaments for them when they were babies. They are still the favorites every year. Thanks Alison!

Catching Up...
Twilight was SO FUN!!! I went with a group of friends and about a thousand screaming 10 year olds to the opening night. As soon as the line started moving they all started screaming, as soon as the lights went out in the theater they all started screaming, as soon as Edward came on screen for the first time they all started screaming...you get the picture. It was fun.
Marshall, Lynndsey, and their cute kids came for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun having them!
Mark's parents, Grant and Judy, also came. Our kids can't get enough of Grandma and Grandad!
Grandma and Bailey.
Grandad and Natalie (Marshall and Lynndsey's cute girl.)
Cousins, so much fun.
Marshall and little Preston.
We even got to see my brother and his wife. It is so nice that she is from here. Parker is showing Uncle Cory and Aunt Lori how he can read.
Things I am thankful for:
*a fun ward that had a fun turkey bowl, Mark was sore for days (:
*sister-in-laws that are more like sisters
*my father-in-law's amazing good health
*sweet kids who are trying to do the right thing, even though it is hard sometimes ("Parker stop hitting!!" "It was an accident mom.")
*a loving husband who lets me sleep in when I don't feel good
*yummy Thanksgiving food
*my mom who taught me how to cook
I could go on and on, but those are just a few.
I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

Proud to be a Texan
Today while we were running some errands, Parker saw an American flag and asked, "Mom, what kind of flag is that?" I replied, "an American flag." Parker paused for a second and said, "Oh, I thought it was a Texas flag." I told my dad, and he said we needed to hurry and move away from Texas before our kids are completely brainwashed.
