There's no place like home...

My dad had surgery on his back, so Mark (being the best husband ever) surprised me with tickets home. He worked out taking care of Parker and Kasidee so I could go home and be with my mom and dad.

Lawn mower rides are always a highlight. It's the simple things in life that are the best.
I love seeing my grandma and grandpa. I miss them so much! I got to cut my grandma's hair for her.

It was so beautiful everwhere, I had to pull over and take some pictures. That is Saddle Mountain in the distance.

That is my parents house, if you can see it. They live in the most beautiful country ever. My dad says it is "God's country," and I think I'd have to agree.

Addison was plum tuckered out, the 2 hour time change is a killer.

Grandma thought that Addison was still a little girl. She has grown up since the last time you saw her grandma.

It was also so much fun seeing Heather and her cute kids! I miss her! I also got to get together with Emily, Ashlee and Courtney. But of course, I forgot to get a picture. It was fun seeing you guys.

Wow, Bailey is getting so big!

Grandma, Addison, and Bailey were having a tea party in the rocks.
We had so much fun at home. Addison has never been one on one with grandpa and grandma before. She loved being the center of attention. Thanks to Heather's husband, Josh, for making the 6 hour round trip to come get me from the airport. And a big thanks to my mom and dad for putting up with us for a weekend, we love you so much!

Go Aggies!

Mark and I went to the Texas Tech vs. A&M game. We had so much fun in College Station, it reminded us a lot of Logan.
We couldn't believe how much school spirit everyone had! I felt very out of place wearing yellow, I needed maroon.
It was a really good game until the 4th quarter, Aggies lost. Maybe next year.
I don't know what we were thinking bringing Bailey to a 11 in the afternoon game. It was chilly that morning, but it sure got really hot by game time. We didn't bring sunscreen or anything. Needless to say, I spent most of the game walking the halls by the concessions to keep her out of the sun.
We met some friends from Utah at the game. Burton is an Aggie alumni and they come for a game every year. We had so much fun catching up. Thanks Burton and Steph, see you next year.

"A Dress"

Today the kids came home from school with a little bit of homework. They were suppose to write their address 5 times. Well, P and K were not very happy about doing it. So we got a little creative and sat outside and looked at the number on our house while we wrote that part. Then we walked down to the street sign while we wrote that part. I thought I was being a pretty good mom...and then we walked back in the house and Kasidee said, "Mom, now do we get to make a dress?" My daughter doesn't even know what an address is. Talk about great parenting skills. I did have a good laugh though.

OUTSIDE

The kids haven't played outside in a while. When they do go outside, they are trying to escape through the back fence into the levy, or down the street on their bikes. Tonight they stayed in the backyard for over an hour...this is why...they found the hose! They were soaking wet, but I didn't care. They had so much fun playing until bedtime outside.

so you think you can dance

We had a girls night out, so much fun!!! Janice, Jana, Angie and I went to So You Think You Can Dance live in Houston. You can't beat a night of good company, no kids, and dancing.

I think that my favorite dance of the night was the Mia door dance with Twitch and Katee, or the psycho mohawk choreographer's dance with Mark and Courtney.

Hair, hair, everywhere...

Ok, I know, strange pictures, just let me explain. I chopped my hair off, but I had to do some fixing this morning. I liked the length, but I have way too much hair. The hair in the sink is all the thinning I had to do so I wouldn't have a mushroom head. Anyway, it is always fun to have a new style to play with. I like having short hair in the winter. Most people think the opposite. But long hair is more flattering with lower necklines in the summer, and you can pull it up so much easier. Short hair is cuter with turtle-necks (not that you wear those a lot in Texas) and scarfs (not that you wear those in Texas either). Ok, I am done rambling. New. Short. Fun.

Grandpa and Grandma Save the Day

Wow, we got the funnest package in the mail for Halloween. My parents sent presents, candy, coloring books, crafts, movies...so much fun. We are spoiled rotten! My parents have been sending fun packages since I went away to college. My roommates used to be jealous, and Mark was very excited when the packages started including goodies for him. It is a fun tradition that I want to continue with my kids. Thanks mom and dad, you brightened our day! My kids love seeing the UPS man stop at our house, "he brings fun boxes from Grandpa and Grandma."

Tag you're it

Here are the rules. Go to your pictures and go to the 6th folder. Open up the 6th picture and post it.
Spring training, go Mariners, Mallory, and Parker. Parker threw a mit over the fence onto the field and one of the players had to throw it back, that is one way to meet them.

I now tag Allison, Brooke and Emily.

When the kids are away, the moms will play...

Allison, Brooke and I got together to do a cute Halloween craft today. I haven't done a craft forever, it was so much fun!
This one (above) was Brooke's...
The one on the left was Allison's and on the one on the right was mine...
I thought they all turned out so cute and festive.

King of the Day

Parker came home in a blue crown, very excited to have been picked to be King today. Such a cute idea, the kids feel so special! This was the picture that he drew of him and Kasidee together.

Cheese-Balls!

Bailey has started eating cereal and she can't get enough. It is so funny, she slurps it off the spoon. Parker took these pictures for me, he is getting so old.
Addison chose her outfit, headband, and necklace today. Can you say cheese-ball!
