Over the 4th of July, we had a family reunion. We planned activities to do around St. George and stayed at grandpa and grandma's house. It was fun.
We hiked the Temple Quarry Trail.
Its a hallowing experience walking where
others have sweat and toiled. In the huge boulders you could see where
the early Utah Cotton Mission Pioneers had drilled into the solid rocks
and used dynamite to blast the rocks apart. They would haul out pieces
that averaged ten feet long, forty-two inches wide, thirteen inches
thick, and five thousand five hundred pounds! They would load it on an
wagon and make the trip around the mountain to the temple site. They did
this over and over, not to mention the work that was done once they got
the stone to the temple site! Incredible piece of history.
The girls couldn't get enough of their new little cousin Everett...
And Dylan!!! He is such a chunk, it reminded me of Wyatt. So cute!
Hours and hours in the pool.
Hours and hours lounging by the pool.
Everyone headed to our favorite spot on the river.
Parker and Uncle Dustin found a group of kids and tried skim boarding with them. It is hard!
More time in the pool.
Girl power..whoo whoo!
Grand baby heaven.
We all went to the St. George Independence parade.
They were ready for the candy to be thrown in their direction.
