Our sweet Avery had one desire...to be in the temple. So her family was trying to get her there as much as possible. On this particular trip, they invited the youth to join her.
What an amazing and unforgettable experience it was to sit in the chapel with everyone and hear from the temple matron and temple president. I will never forget the spirit I felt there.
I hope Kasidee won't forget either.
Sweet Avery's brain tumor just could be beaten. We knew she didn't have much time left here on earth with us, and we thought it would be really special for the YW to help her get her YW medallion. All the young women split up all the values, everyone took on several goals, and accomplished them in her honor. They did the whole thing in 2 weeks, including on of my laurels reading the whole Book of Mormon in 2 weeks. It was amazing. At the end, we had a night in her honor, where her mom came and accepted the necklace in her honor (because Avery was too sick to come). It was a night filled with the Spirit and love.
